* A Dog and His Boys by ORPHAN ACCOUNT (Teen, Yoong/Taehyung, 17.2k) - Producer!Yoongi is trying to finish a project but his neighbor's dog's incessant barking is driving him a little bonkers…
A fic in which Yeontan matchmakers Yoongi and Taehyung. It's a sweet and cozy fic featuring lots of cute pet moments.
* don't know sadness well (but i'l cry) by
Quiet and a little bit bittersweet, this is a fic that, although it plays with canon, has a lot of IRL details to keep the reader emotionally invested in the goings on.
The Maknae line OT3 romance is present, but slightly placed in the background. This story's focus is more on how a group handles the time apart from the perspective of those who stay behind while their bandmates and friends are away in the military.

Detective L fic: (I doubt anyone knows this ridiculously tiny and unknown fandom {it's basically Sherlock set in 1930s Shanghai} but I decided to rec for it anyway, especially since I think this fic can be read canon blind)

Summary: Luo Fei's getting looked after by his friends whether he wants it or not. (Wonderfully written fic that perfectly captures the disjointedness and confusion of a head injury and adds in some gentle and lovely h/c)

Summary: Missing scene from 1x03. Wu Xie gets sick after being out in the rain. Pangzi and Xiaoge take care of him. (gentle and sweet h/c sick!fic)

Summary: Jim Kirk and McCoy were the first of the crew to enter the cargo hold once the shuttle had landed—reasonable, of course, given that they were the captain and the chief medical officer, respectively, and Commander Spock had just returned from a trip which had very nearly cost him his life. Certainly it made logical sense for two of the three most vital members of the ship’s crew to personally receive the third upon his return.
Perhaps less logical were the coursing tears that distorted both men’s vision, as they rushed to his side. He very gracefully stumbled out of the shuttle, each man taking a place at one of his flanks to hold him steady on his feet.
Reccer's Note: A coda to the episode The Immunity Syndrome, only in this their relationships are already romantically involved, or getting close to it. If you ever watched that episode and wished that McCoy had told Spock that he had wished him luck,then you might like this one. Plus, Spock gets some nice care and comfort, even though he, of course, claims he doesn't need it.

SPN, meta, 4k
This isn't a particularly light read. It's old. It has a few typos, and I'm not sure all the images actually are there. But those are superficial observations. I love the title, the idea that SPN wants to appear realist but is rooted in melodrama. I love this kind of meta that really discusses things, and I was happy to find this piece. It's interesting even to skim - maybe pick up some ideas that relate to realism or melodrama.
