Description:
A full-colour drawing of Azirphale and Crowley bicycling alongside a stone wall and rolling hills in the South Downs. Aziraphale is pedalling the bicycle—a vintage yellow model with a basket in front and a small stack of books and cut flowers on the rear rack—while Crowley sits on the handlebars, arms crossed, leaning back against him. Aziraphale is smiling, his coat tails flapping in the wind.

I love the way the show visually marks Crowley and Aziraphale as belonging together even as they starkly contrast with each other as a demon and an angel, and this piece really captures that. On the surface, Aziraphale might look more at home in that setting and palette, with Crowley standing out in his nearly unrelieved black. But it all ties together through the black accents on the bike, the outline of Aziraphale's clothes, the black book under ones that match Aziraphale and the bike's lighter accents, and of course the cuttings of white flowers on black branches. On top of that, the character and landscape designs are pure charm, and the pose of Aziraphale happily steering while Crowley coils up like the too-cool dork of a snake he is makes me smile every time I look at it.

Lovely art! You’re so right about this art showcasing how they complement each other despite how different they look at first glance 😊

Thanks for the rec!

This is lovely, thank you for sharing! I also appreciate your commentary on it - it's pointing out details I wouldn't necessarily notice but enjoy now I know they're there.
